To promote the Christmas episode of Netflix’s Sense8 we created a Facebook Messenger chat bot that instantly delivers personalized, emotionally powerful videos based on fans’ unique conversations with one of the show’s most popular characters. Through a multi-pathed, in-world chat, Sense8 character Nomi Marks intuits each fan’s favorite character as well as the emotional aspects of the show they find most resonant. Within seconds fans receive their custom “fanvid”—a shareable video generated from complex logic and a custom CMS with over 1000 tagged Sense8 clips. Each fanvid also has custom music and a personalized title card to optimize fan sharing. As an added bonus, Nomi also sends one of four exclusive scenes from the upcoming Christmas episode—the world’s very first look at fresh Season Two content.
