“Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality?”

To explore that question—and to promote its upcoming drama, Westworld—Campfire and HBO created immersive installations at high traffic destinations that combined theatrical techniques, live actors, custom-designed sets and an original HTC Vive experience, to transport guests to the luxury theme park depicted in the show.

Going beyond what is possible with virtual reality alone alone, the Hosts, taking the role of fabricated humanoids with artificial intelligence, created unique personal experiences for every attendee, creating buzz and conversation in advance of the series launch, and helping build an audience for what would be one of HBO’s biggest premieres.
